Roommate Placement at Redding Revival Community

More than a bed — we help you land in the right home community for your BSSM season.

Why we do roommate placement (and why it matters)

After many years of housing BSSM students and walking with them through real-life roommate dynamics, we’ve learned that most “hard” roommate situations aren’t about bad people—they’re about misaligned expectations.

That’s why we built a proprietary Roommate Profile Survey to help us understand how you live, communicate, rest, and relate—so we can pair you with housemates who will compliment what God is doing in you during this transformational BSSM season.

RRC is a family-run housing community started in 2013, and we genuinely care about your year being stable, peaceful, and life-giving at home.

How we help place you with roommates
1) You take our Roommate Profile Survey

This is how we get to know you beyond basic “I’m clean / I’m chill” answers. We’re looking for compatibility in areas that actually affect daily life, like:

  • Sleep schedule & morning rhythms

  • Cleanliness and shared-space expectations

  • Social energy (quiet home vs. people around often)

  • Conflict and communication style

  • Guests, gatherings, and hospitality pace

  • Work/school schedule and home routines

2) We review your responses with Holy Spirit discernment

We use your survey responses plus Holy Spirit-led discernment to recommend the home/roommate mix that’s most likely to produce a mutually honoring, peaceful environment—and to identify potential red flags early.

3) We recommend the best-fit home options

We’ll point you toward the homes and room setups that best match your profile—whether that’s a shared room, private room, or another available student option.

Important note (so expectations are clear)

Our homes are not discipleship homes. There is no house parent or designated spiritual leader in the home. Ultimately, you and your housemates are responsible for your culture and your experience. What we do provide is a huge head start—by placing you with people who have similar expectations and lifestyles, so your home can be a place that supports (not competes with) what God is doing in your life.

Next steps (choose your order)

At some point you’ll complete all steps below—but you can choose the order that fits your timeline.

Step A — Fill out the Roommate Profile Survey

➡️ This helps us recommend the best-fit home + housemates.

Step B — Submit your Rental Application

➡️ This is the formal application for housing approval.

Step C — Browse available homes and apply to the one you want

➡️ View current options and apply to a specific home you’re interested in.

What success looks like in RRC housing

We aim for homes that are:

  • Stable (clear expectations, less drama)

  • Mutually honoring (healthy communication and respect)

  • Kingdom-minded (a home that strengthens—not drains—your BSSM season)
